    Why founders skip sGTM

They think it needs a subdomain DNS change, a Google Cloud project, a dev sprint, and a monthly bill they cannot forecast. In 2026, none of that is true if you use the managed path.

    The 90-minute path

    1. Spin up a Stape.io or Google Cloud tagging server (12 minutes, $20/month at low volume).
    2. Point a subdomain via one CNAME. Cloudflare or Vercel handles it in 3 minutes.
    3. Duplicate your web GTM container as the server container.
    4. Reroute Meta CAPI, GA4, and TikTok events through the server endpoint.
    5. Verify with the tag assistant and the Meta Events Manager test tool.

That is it. No engineer, no sprint, no CTO conversation.

    What you actually recover

    • iOS 14+ users who dropped out of pixel tracking: back in.
    • Ad-blocked events on desktop: back in.
    • Duplicate events from browser and server: deduped by event ID.
    • Match quality score in Meta typically jumps from 4/10 to 8/10 in the first two weeks.
